Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
The
Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
(
Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften)
was established in 1909 in the tradition of the Kurpfälzische Akademie (Academy of the Electoral Palatinate) founded in 1763.
It became the State Academy of
Baden-Württemberg in 1958.
The Academy has three kinds of Members: Ordentliche Mitglieder (Full Members), Korrespondierende Mitglieder (Corresponding Members), and Ehrenmitglieder (Honorary Members).
Full Members must be resident in the
State of Baden-Württemberg.
When a Full Member moves out of the
State of Baden-Württemberg,
he or she automatically acquires the status of Corresponding Member.
The number of Full Members aged under 65 years is limited to 100.
The number of Corresponding Members is limited to 100.
The number of Honorary Members is limited to 6.

have been Members of
the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
