Abstract
Nowadays, personalization has become a major trend in the current information society. In this paper, we propose an annotation system, which allows users moving on an environment to receive personalized messages that are generated by exploiting contextual information. In the system, the context is defined as an entity including user's identity, location and time. In which, identity of user is a key data to enable personal aspect of generated message. For sensing the context, the proposed system uses a wearable computer for an Augmented Reality (AR) environment. In there, markers are attached to real objects for tracking user's location. Augmented Reality is used to display received message in the form of virtual post-it note or three-dimensional virtual object overlaid onto the real-world view. Experimental results show that the proposed system can work well in real-time. Thus, it is applicable to provide realizable mobile service for personalized messaging.
